Pinyin and Zhuyin are both external representations of Chinese pronunciations.
In cWnn, these external representations are made up English alphabets and some special
characters that are defined for cWnn for the purpose of Pinyin and Zhuyin input.
For example, the Pinyin "Zhng". "Zh" are just normal English alphabets while "" is
the special character defined for cWnn.

The structures of Pinyin and Zhuyin follow certain rules given below. The
following are the rules for defining Pinyin and Zhuyin in cWnn system.

  (1) Construction of Pinyin In accordance to Xinhua dictionary (»ֵ).
  (2) Construction of Zhuyin In accordance to Xinhua dictionary and conforms in
representation with dictionaries commonly used in
			           Taiwan.
  (3) Initial Pinyin character For a Pinyin that contains a consonant (ĸ), the
first character is in upper case, and subsequent
characters are in lower case. For example, Zhong
If a Pinyin does not begin with a consonant, only
lower case characters are used. For example, en
  (4) Input using Pinyin can only be done in Pinyin mode, and input using Zhuyin can
only be done in Zhuyin mode. The input mode may be assessed via the PF1 key in
      cWnn system.

The special character set defined for cWnn, and the Pinyin definition table
as well as the Zhuyin definition table are shown in the following.

Erpin (ƴ) is also known as Shuangpin (˫ƴ), which uses two keys to input a
Pinyin. The Erpin input in cWnn is defined in the input automaton (refer to Chapter 7).
Any Erpin input method may be defined in cWnn. There are many ways of arranging the
input keys for Erpin. Two common Erpin input keys allocations are provided by cWnn.
In the Pinyin centred input environment, these two types of Erpin input may be changed
dynamically. Refer to Section 3.2.

The two input keys allocation tables are shown below:

1. Guangming Ribao Erpin Table (ձƴ)

Consonants are represented by English alphabets such as "Ch" "Sh" and "Zh". The keys
used to input them are "I", "U" and "V" respectively. For Pinyin which has no
consonants, input "0" as the first key, and this Pinyin will be taken to have no
consonant.

The consonants table, vowels table and the special Pinyin table are shown below:

Consonants are input using the corresponding alphabets. The three consonants, "Ch",
"Sh" and "Zh" are input using keys "E", "A" and "V" respectively. For Pinyin which
has no consonant, input "O" as the first key, and this Pinyin will be taken to have
no consonant.

Zhuyin was used before Pinyin is introduced. It is now commonly used in Taiwan
and Hong Kong.

Zhuyin characters are not found on the standard keyboard. In order to input
Zhuyin, each key has to be defined on the standard keyboard. There are several Zhuyin
input keys allocations. cWnn provides two input keys allocations which are commonly used
in Taiwan (1) Yitian input keys allocation ()
	     (2) Xiyong input keys allocation (ϰ)

In the Zhuyin centred input environment, these two types of Zhuyin input may be changed
dynamically. Refer to Section 3.2.

Note that the consonants and vowels of Pinyin and Zhuyin are different.
However, user is able to input both Pinyin and Zhuyin using the front-end processor
"cuum".

The two input keys allocation tables are shown below.
